I came across this film by pure luck. The wonderful thing about film, for me at least, is the freedom that innately belongs to the creator. The very concept of creating via film allows for this. I was surprised by this film. I didn't expect the film to end the way it did. I loved it. The caption reads,"a creepy short about a clown being chased by blood thirsty girls." The first impression I received from the caption was that it was being a little dramatic; perhaps a tool to draw the viewer in. But, true to its word, the film is as it is described. About half way through the film I was trying to figure out whether there was a deeper meaning to the film or whether it was the product of a creative and talented person doing what they love. I thought that perhaps the clown was a metaphor for the average working class man. The girls were perhaps the life they didn't want to lead. Those lives filled with working in the fields they didn't want to work in for people they didn't want to work for. Perhaps the piece was a metaphor depicting parenthood. The fear or stifling feelings parents sometimes come across lead them to run. Not physically perhaps but in other ways. The children always behind them trying to get their attention. Then finally the exhausted parent, or, employee become exhausted and succumb. Is this what the film was about? Perhaps it was and perhaps it wasn't. The wonderful thing is that we as fans, as an audience, as critics, and lovers of cinema have the freedom to ponder.
